The Erly’s sophomore effort “Reckless” shares a collection of songs written and sung by all four members of the band. With lyrics haunted by the echoes of past lovers, each song tackles the topics of love in the modern age and the reckless methods in which we use to overcome or suppress our troubles. Beneath these observations of reckless behaviors (or the absurdity of a regular Tuesday night), is a new sound from The Erly. A sound that takes heavy influence from the 1970's west coast sound: hints of breezy soft rock, funk, and soul, complete with 3 or 4-part harmonies. This is the first album to feature Alyssa Serviss on keyboards and vocals.
